The journey started almost 40 years ago, when Robert La Roche released
a collection never before seen in this form. The glasses evolved from a
fashion accessory to a distinctive fashion statement. Hollywood seized
upon this exclusivity, and the glasses worn by the stars soon became
star unto themselves. In ensuing decades, one collection after another
achieved the status of a classic – right down to today, when the most
beautiful original Robert La Roche models are being re-introduced to
the market in the “Classic Collection”. A journey back in time?
Quite the opposite: after all, the timeless is always timely.

The Collection
The collection includes seven models, which are characterized by the
distinctive Robert La Roche designs of the 70s and 80s. From this
period come the panto frames – rounded shapes with a high hinge and
decorative rivets. The legendary high quality of the collection is achieved
through meticulous handcrafting in a small shop in Italy. Three models
are made of exclusive, Italian, four-millimeter-thick acetate blocks, while
the other four models feature metal acetate combinations in the “college look.”

All models come in a high-quality box and include two cases, one soft and
one hard, both of which feature the classic logo imprint. To complement the
image of the Classic Collection, the demo glasses also feature the “Classic” logo.
